Summary
The Governor's of St Bede's Catholic Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate EYFS practioner to join our team. The is a maternity leave cover. This role will be for a year or until the post-holder returns to work, whichever is soonest.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Level 3) who:

  • Has knowledge and experience of the new EYFS Curriculum
  • Shows a keen interest in child development

  • Provides a safe and secure environment for our children to develop their social and communication skills, whilst recording observations and summarising their achievements.

  • Has a proven track record and is passionate in developing children to be confident and compassionate

  • Has very high expectations of all and will inspire, challenge and encourage children to achieve the best

  • Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Maths and English
  • Experience of working with children in EYFS
  • Commitment to undertake training and development
  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young children

  • Desirable Qualifications
  • Paediatric First Aid

  • Essential Experience
  • Ability to observe and assess children against the EYFS Curriculum
  • Ability to relate well to children and to parents/carers
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to supervise and assist pupils
  • Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities

  • Desirable Experience
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs
  • Experience of supporting the ethos and mission statement in a Catholic school
